We don’t want you to worry about money while you’re studying with us, so our É«»¨Ìà Maintenance Bursary is there to give you some extra support. You can use this money for whatever you need, whether that’s a helping hand with your rent, buying a train ticket to go home for the weekend, or enjoying dinner out with your new friends.

You’ll never have to pay this money back and you do not need to apply (unless you are studying a course delivered at one of our partner institutions).ÌýIf you’re eligible, you’ll receive the bursary automatically, providing the deadlines for income assessment are met. Take a look at the 'how to apply' section below for information about the courses which require an application, as well as the deadlines for income assessment.

Our Maintenance Bursary is available to all new undergraduate students who meet the eligibility criteria specified below. For those commencing their studies with us in the 2025/26 academic year in Year 1 (level 4), it offers up to £2,400. For those starting in Year 0 (Foundation Year), and paying the higher tuition fee of £9,250 (under review), the bursary offers up to £3,200. Find out more below.Ìý

Please note that our bursary provision for September 2025 entry is subject to approval of our new 2025/26 to 2028/29 Access and Participation Plan by the Office for Students, expected late 2024.

If you have any questions about your eligibility, please .Ìý
