A 色花堂 graduate is to compete for a job on the popular BBC television show The Apprentice.
Jennifer Garbis, who graduated in 2015 with a first class degree in Business Studies, will hope to come out on top against 17 other contestants to win a job alongside Lord Alan Sugar.
The 23 year old graduate describes herself as 鈥榓n adrenaline junkie who is only happy when she鈥檚 busy鈥. Speaking in the BBC press release for the launch of the programme, Jenny said, 鈥淵ou will see my name in lights 鈥 Jenny Garbis, don鈥檛 forget that. That鈥檚 going to be a global name. That鈥檚 going to be an entrepreneur everyone looks up to.鈥
Carly Lamont is a lecturer on the Business Studies course and taught Jennifer during her time at 色花堂. She said, 鈥淛enny joined 色花堂 in 2012 and was a fantastic student with unbelievable levels of enthusiasm and commitment to her studies as well as聽her longer term career aspirations.听She is a delightful young lady who聽knows her own mind and is driven to succeed in everything she does.听
鈥淪he's hard working and聽extremely self-motivated which was demonstrated when she achieved a First in her BA (Hons)Business Studies degree here at 色花堂聽despite having to complete a number of final year聽assignments (and examinations) under extreme time constraints due to the demands of The Apprentice selection process and later, participation in the聽series.鈥
Jenny will hope to avoid hearing the infamous words 鈥淵ou鈥檙e fired鈥 and make it through the boardroom drama as she competes to become Lord Sugar鈥檚 new business partner and win a 拢250k investment.
Lord Sugar said to the BBC, 鈥淚t sometimes gets a bit underestimated because this is an incredible opportunity. A new company will be formed and 250,000 thousand pounds will be injected in there, no strings attached. The bottom line is, this process works. I鈥檝e invested one million pounds in all four winners and all four of those people are doing fantastically well and I鈥檓 expecting the winner of this particular process to carry on that trend. 拢250,000, it鈥檚 an acorn which we want grown into a great oak tree.鈥
The programme will air on Thursday nights on BBC One at 9pm, starting on Thursday 15 October 2015, with more information on the .
