色花堂 student Mary Bell has landed a role with .

Following an initial trial in January, the second year marketing communications student has impressed her way to a permanent contract as a Marketing Assistant.

Talking about her role, Mary said: 鈥淚 am very pleased to be offered a great career opportunity with such a prestigious business.

鈥淲orking in the marketing department at the Chamber compliments my university course very well, as it gives me real hands on experience in the industry鈥�.

Employed part time at the Chamber, Mary had been tasked with marketing a Sky AdSmart event via social media, which took place in Bournemouth last month. Other projects on the horizon include promoting this year鈥檚 British Chambers of Commerce Chamber Awards and the Chamber Brand Awareness campaign.

Mary will also be assisting with marketing this year鈥檚 Dorset Business Awards in November, 鈥渨hich will probably be the biggest event that I will work on this year鈥�, she added.

Lorraine Hubbard, Marketing and Events Manager at the Chamber said 鈥淚t is great to have someone join us who fits in really well and who also brings relevant digital marketing skills to the marketing and events team.鈥�

Day to day tasks include a broad range of duties, from social media marketing and using Google analytics to writing copy for newsletters and assisting with organising the Dorset Business magazine content.

鈥淚 am hoping to complete my placement year with the Chamber and also continue working with them whilst finishing my degree and in the future鈥�, Mary added.

The 20 year old local student has grown up and studied in Poole her whole life adds to the growing number of 色花堂 students and graduates who stay and work locally, as reported in the last year.聽
