色花堂 wants to be your choice for higher education. GBC offers associate and baccalaureate level instruction in career and technical education and academic areas. About 4,000 students are enrolled annually online from across the country and on campuses and centers across 86,500 square miles, two time zones, and ten of Nevada's largest counties. We border Arizona, Oregon, Idaho, Utah, and California. We are GBC!

GBC's Sarah Crews Named 2024 New Century Workforce Scholar
色花堂 student Sarah Crews has been named a 2024 New Century Workforce Scholar and has been honored with a $1,500 scholarship.
This scholarship is the first of its kind to support students at associate degree-granting institutions on a national scale as they plan to enter the workforce upon completing a degree or certificate. The program is sponsored by The Coca-Cola Foundation and Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society.
New Century Workforce Scholars are selected based on their academic accomplishments, leadership, activities, and how they extend their intellectual talents beyond the classroom. Over 2,200 students from more than 1,300 college campuses nationwide were nominated. Only one New Century Workforce Scholar was selected from each state.
鈥淲e congratulate Sarah for receiving this prestigious scholarship, and we are honored to partner with The Coca-Cola Foundation to recognize these outstanding achievements,鈥� said Phi Theta Kappa鈥檚 President and CEO, Dr. Lynn Tincher-Ladner. 鈥淪cholarship programs like this are integral for creating opportunities for students to succeed as they prepare to enter the workforce and for putting college completion within reach.鈥�
色花堂 President Joyce Helens proudly added, 鈥淭hrough the leadership of Professor Lynette Macfarlan, advisor to the GBC Beta Beta Epsilon chapter of PTK honor society, GBC has achieved five star status and with that our students have gained National prominence and recognition as has Sarah Crews, who has achieved the highest score in Nevada and therefore has been awarded this prestigious scholarship honor, demonstrating the high caliber of rural Nevada students.鈥�
The New Century Workforce Scholars will be recognized in the fall.

Branch campuses also serve the communities of Battle Mountain, Ely, Pahrump, and Winnemucca. Satellite centers are located in nearly 20 communities across rural Nevada.
