The CIS Hunger Prevention program serves kids who do not have adequate food during the week or over the weekends, a situation that inhibits their ability to learn in school, among other things. In 2011, CIS provided 36,278 breakfasts and snacks to local area children, and during the same period sent home with children 5,533 packs of nutritious food to get them through the weekends! This year we are doing our first food drive, centered in Elko, and we hope to make this a yearly event that next year can involve Pahrump, Ely, Battle Mountain, and Winnemucca. The mission of Edibles for Education is to provide 125 GBC backpacks full of nonperishable nutritious foods to help at risk K-12 students become successful learners. Its higher education giving to K-12 educationthe circle of life stuff. In February Edibles for Education boxes will be distributed across campus. Please fill those boxes to the brim!! We will be collecting the boxes on Friday, Feb 10th and delivering the backpacks to CIS on February 14th. Food items need to be kid friendly (flip tops, self-contained) and nonperishablethink good protein. Support staff will be in charge of making sure there are sufficient boxes in their building for food collection. There was also discussion about donating money to help keep this program going year after year. It was agreed that a Classified Council donation would be discussed at the next meeting. Meeting Schedule for 2012: Dianna Byers has sent the list to Susanna Dorr so it can be published on the web. New Business: Congratulations to Renee Jim on her new grandson (Isaiah) on Monday. Presidential Search: Carmen reported that the committee met last week and chose a consultation firm to assist with the Presidential Search. Cizek & Associates was selected. They are located in Arizona with offices in California, Colorado, and Arizona. They seemed to understand needs of a community college versus a university. They had previously worked with a community college in Wyoming. They were the only firm to bring up the vastness of our area (62,000 square miles). The other firms seemed more experienced in working with universities. The other firms had concerns about sufficient time to visit each community for input. The committee will meet again on the 27th and review the president position description and how to advertise and where. The firm has also networked with candidates they feel might be a good fit for this area and our needs. There being no further business to come before the committee, the meeting was adjourned at 10:26 a.m. #34=jq H m 翹qaqh{h{6PJ^J_HaJh{h{PJ^J_HaJh{h\^J h\5^JhVh\5^J h)4^J h5^J h^J h\^J hPy^J h8^Jhzt+h)4^Jh8 ht#h)4h\ ht#h|ht#h)4^J h)45^J h85^JhVh)45^J%#4> 6 X v 23gd{gd8gd)4$a$gd)4m | LN-.13DV;Td嫤}}}}h@7 h)45^Jh|h\h4@hPyh~hU/h)4 hzt+h)4hVh)45^Jh{h{H*PJ^J_HaJh{h{6PJ^J_HaJh{h{>*PJ^J_HaJh{h{PJ^J_HaJh{PJ^J_HaJ1(?JYZm{/0^gd^gdFX!^gdFX!^gd4@^gd)4`gd)4gd)4'(Zlmvxz{ST,.0@Ļʯ󩣩ԗ~ hFX!6hh8jzhh8jz5hMh4@hcqhFX! hs^J hcq^J h4@^J h@7^Jho!h)4^J h)4^Jho!h)45^J h)45^J h4@5^J h\5^JhVh)45^JhVh)4^Jh)41@,5EABC]fluy $/ATW8=BCFGlnûϩߥߡߡߡߡߡh1hcqhcqH*hcqhsh1h8jz6hQ hFX!^JhhQ5hh8jz5ho-h8jzh[>hBohBoH*hBohh{ h6 hFX!6 hFX!hFX!hFX!90BC mngd)4gd?>`gdFX!^gdFX!^gdnh)4h?>hKhFX!h8jzh[ 21h:py{/ =!"#$% n- 666666666vvvvvvvvv66666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666hH6666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666666662 0@P`p2( 0@P`p 0@P`p 0@P`p 0@P`p 0@P`p 0@P`p8XV~$OJPJQJ^J_HmH nH sH tH D`D )4NormalCJ^J_H aJmH sH tH Z@Z 3 Heading 1$<@&5CJ KH OJPJQJ\aJ \@\ 3 Heading 2$<@& 56CJOJPJQJ\]aJV@V 3 Heading 3$<@&5CJOJPJQJ\aJJ@J 3 Heading 4$<@&5CJ\aJN@N 3 Heading 5 <@&56CJ\]aJ@@@ 3 Heading 6 <@&5\:: 3 Heading 7 <@&@@@ 3 Heading 8 <@&6]F @F 3 Heading 9 <@& OJPJQJDA`D Default Paragraph FontRiR 0 Table Normal4 l4a (k ( 0No List j$@j 30Envelope Address &#$+D/^@ OJPJQJ^JRR 3Heading 1 Char5CJ KH OJPJQJ\aJ TT 3Heading 2 Char 56CJOJPJQJ\]aJN!N 3Heading 3 Char5CJOJPJQJ\aJB1B 3Heading 4 Char5CJ\aJHAH 3Heading 5 Char56CJ\]aJ:Q: 3Heading 6 Char5\<a< 3Heading 7 CharCJaJBqB 3Heading 8 Char6CJ]aJ@@ 3Heading 9 Char OJPJQJR>@R 3Title<@&a$5CJ KHOJPJQJ\aJ JJ 3 Title Char5CJ KHOJPJQJ\aJ BJ@B 3Subtitle <@&a$ OJPJQJFF 3 Subtitle CharCJOJPJQJaJ*W* 3`Strong5\:X: 3@Emphasis56OJQJ]4@4 3 No SpacingaJ @@ 3 List Paragraph ^m$*@* "3Quote!68!8 !3 Quote Char 6CJaJD@D $3 Intense Quote #]^56FAF #3Intense Quote Char 56CJBaQB 30Subtle Emphasis 6B*phZZZJaJ 3PIntense Emphasis56>*CJaJDqD 3Subtle Reference >*CJaJDD 3Intense Reference 5>*CJFF 3 Book Title56CJOJPJQJaJ6 6 3p TOC Heading*@& H@H ,>0 Balloon Text+CJOJQJ^JaJNN +>0Balloon Text CharCJOJQJ^JaJPK![Content_Types].xmlN0EH-J@%ǎǢ|ș$زULTB l,3;rØJB+$G]7O٭V$ !)O^rC$y@/yH*񄴽)޵߻UDb`}"qۋJחX^)I`nEp)liV[]1M<OP6r=zgbIguSebORD۫qu gZo~ٺlAplxpT0+[}`jzAV2Fi@qv֬5\|ʜ̭NleXdsjcs7f W+Ն7`g ȘJj|h(KD- dXiJ؇(x$( :;˹!
